MICAH CARROLL -
I’ve always been passionate about photography and taking it from a hobby to my profession was love at first sight. I’m a mixed bag when it comes to my talents. I went to culinary school right out of high school and I’ve always been in love with rebuilding cars and hotrods. I got my pilots license off of the historic “route 66″ in Arizona and I graduated college with a degree in graphic design. I’d say I’m an old soul that has more interests than a 100 men, but photography is one passion thats always been and intricate part of my life.
My family would say that my talent comes from my great grandfather who owned his own mechanic shop in the 1930′s, use to drop gospel tracks out of his plane in the sky’s of Mississippi, and was never seen without a camera. I never had the pleasure of meeting my great grandfather because he died well before I was born, but the older I get the more I can see the fingerprints of my heritage all over my life.
I’m never one to settle for “good enough” and my passion for perfection runs perfectly along side the pleasure of capturing precious (real) moments. To me photography is like bottling lightning in a jar. I get to be a part of so many special moments and our shoots are opportunities to capture the beautiful sparks that are unspoken but evident between each couple. When I first started, the idea of photographing “love” seemed so abstract, but putting a love filled couple in front of my lens has become a joy that never gets old. I’m honored to do what I do and I’m so thankful for all of the wonderful memories that I’ve gotten to be a part of. Mykkah Photography is more than just a job that pays the bills, it’s an honor and a career that I take very seriously. I will never stop pursuing “better” and my goal is to achieve greatness.
I love the Lord, my wife, my family and friends and of course photography!
