Ive always been passionate about photography, so turning it into my career is truly a dream come true. When it comes to my talents and interests, Im a mixed bag: I went to culinary school right out of high school, am in love with anything related to cars or mechanics, earned my pilots license off the historic Route 66 in Arizona, and graduated from college with a degree in graphic design. Maybe I have more interests than brains, but photography is one passion thats always been an integral part of my life.
My family says my talents and varied interests come from my great grandfather, who owned his own mechanic shop in the 1930s and was a shutterbug himself on the side. I grew up hearing stories of him dropping gospel tracts out of his plane over the skies of Mississippi, about his love for motor speedways, and his many great life adventures. While I never had the pleasure of meeting my great grandfather, the older I get, the more I can see the fingerprints of my heritage all over my life.
Good enough isnt good enough for me in any endeavor, and my passion for perfection is a great compliment to my love of capturing precious (and real) moments for my couples and clients. Even though the concept of photographing love is so abstract, to me, photography is like capturing and bottling lightning in a jar, and I am honored to be the one capturing those precious, fleeting moments that represent the sparks between people truly in love. It is such a privilege to be part of the wonderful memories that are made in front of my lens, and I treasure helping each couple preserve their story forever through photography.
